Representative Work

  • Led an initiative to build private high-voltage transmission lines across the Midwest for a renewable energy developer, including developing regulatory strategies and outreach to state public utilities commissions and FERC.
  • Advised a utility in its development of a community solar program. 
  • Counseled renewable energy clients obtaining permits from state and local governments.
  • Counseled clients on PURPA qualifications and various renewable energy incentives.
  • Negotiated and prepared a major water supply agreement for an ethanol company.
  • Negotiated and prepared agreements regarding power purchases and easements for a renewable energy developer.
  • Oversaw interconnection requests and agreements with regional transmission organizations, including assisting in a successful outcome from FERC in a cost allocation dispute for a renewable energy developer.
  • Represented a fitness studio before the Minnesota Second District Court in a contract dispute; secured a temporary injunction and ultimately negotiated a favorable settlement for the client.
